About 29 Fair

29 Fair brings the countryside to town, in their intimate, historic Nantucket inn through outstanding Mediterranean dishes, that range from fresh seafood to inspired pizzas; the fare is enhanced by the setting, where antique wooden plank floors and beamed ceilings lit by candles create the feeling that some revolutionary from a bygone era might gallop through the door at any moment.

Located a short stroll from Main Street, the restaurant has three separate, romantic candlelit dining rooms, each with original brick fireplaces, exposed beams and antique sconces all located in a building that dates back to 1709.

In addition to dinner, 29 Fair serves brunch on Sundays and is open from Mid-May until New Years day.

29 Fair is a member of the Summer House Boutique Collection of Restaurants on Nantucket, offering delightful dining options for visitors and residents alike. Our family of restaurants also includes The Summer House Restaurant and The Beachside Bistro. Nantucket Town inn guests enjoy priority seating and complimentary door to door jitney service from several of the inns.

From Tripadvisor

“Really glad to see the new chef with his outstanding new menu. Dined there several times recently and could not have asked for better service or food. So glad that this restaurant has kept its historic physical integrity and not gutted the interior like some many other places on Nantucket.”

“Hands down, this is the best place for dinner on the island. The restaurant is now under new management, and these guys know what they are doing. We were warmly greeted at the door and shown to our table. The building dates back to the 1700’s and the maitre d’ happily showed us around and pointed out unique aspects of …”

“Very good! I’m the pickiest eater on the earth and had to go over pretty much every restaurant on Nantucket until I found a place that sounded nice and had a menu I could order from. Even though the food menu listed on trip advisor was completely different (check their website for the actual menu!) it didn’t matter.. Because it was SUCH a tasty meal!”

“A very special restaurant housed in a 1700’s era building. This was one of the more unique and memorable dining experiences we’ve had. If you are a romantic and a foodie, you will be so happy with the food and the wine. The wait staff and management could not have been more friendly and attentive. The chef visited diners at their tables and even showed us around the restaurant to talk about the history as we were the last table at the end of the evening. Don’t miss this one!”
